Parade Debut

May 28, 2011 marks the first time the Senior Women’s Salmonbellies joined the famous Hyack Parade in New Westminster.

It was a great day for a parade, grey sky’s kept it cool the rain at bay. The Women’s team followed behind the Senior A and Junior A Salmonbellies in our debut appearance, getting lots of support cheers from the streets. It was great to see and hear the especially loud and encouraging cheers from all the ladies and young women as we past by. Yes, we are the Women’s Salmonbellies. Yes, we play box lacrosse. Come see us in Queens Park Arena.

Though only a handful of the team was able to make it out to the parade (it was a last minute entry), they represented those who were absent well, waving from the Jeep and showing off their sponsors.
